Claire Weeks is a policy and organisational development specialist with a 15-year career in UK local government, working for the last 12 years in London. Claire has worked with Executive and Senior Teams to define business strategies and performance management frameworks. As a Lean Practitioner, Claire has supported operational teams to complete service improvement reviews to deliver service excellence. Claire's passion for organisational development is evidenced by her involved in the design and delivery of a range of learning programmes from management and leadership development through to project management and personal development planning.

Wilbur Maxino started his career with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC. He was a research assistant for the Directors in Division of International Finance ​where he helped economists with their research and presentation to the Board of Governors, which was chaired at that time by Alan Greenspan.  After obtaining his Masters degree in 1998 from Georgetown University, Wilbur then moved to the Goldman Sachs economics team in Hong Kong prior to joining the economics team at Salomon Smith Barney two years later. In 2005, Citigroup invited Wilbur to join their global emerging markets team at the company's headquarters in London, UK.

During his 10 years at Citi, Wilbur was part of the team leading the discussions on the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997, the Dotcom Bubble in 2000 and the Global Financial Crisis in 2008. He co-authored a book on the lessons learned from the Asian Financial Crisis. After three global financial crises, Wilbur decided to pack up and return to his home in Dumaguete City in 2016 where he now teaches Investment Management and Financial Management to MBA students at Silliman University.

Mikhail Maxino is a distinguished Lawyer, Dean and Author with a Law degree from Silliman and a Master’s Degree in Law from Dalhousie, Canada. After passing the Philippine Bar in the top 1% he started Maxino and Associates Law offices as principal partner and Litigation Attorney.  Mikhail was appointed Dean of the College of Law at Silliman University for three terms, receiving awards and Academic recognition for commendable performance by the university in the bar examinations.  He established the Silliman Law Journal, created the Legal Environmental Advocacy Programme, set up student scholarships and funded law lectures and training sessions. He is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Law and Adviser in the Office of the Dean in College of Law. Mikhail has also been a Director, Investigating Commissioner, Research Policy Specialist and Consultant with several Local Government Units, national communities and the ASEAN Biodiversity Fund. He is the author of two books and four published articles and has co-authored many other works. MIkhail has presented over 25 papers at conferences in the Philippines, the U.K. and Thailand. He is also currently a Legal Consultant for Tancinco Law offices in San Francisco, California.

Joey Gatus is a Natural Resource Management Consultant. His technical expertise is in environmental assessment and monitoring, marine protected areas, coastal resource management, management evaluation and assessment tools. He also has experience in Coastal habitat enhancement and restoration, sustainable coastal tourism, Environmental Impact Studies/impact evaluation, Community Profiling and Solid Waste Management. Joey’s consulting clients include the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, RARE, Department of Natural Resources (DENR), Philippine Mining Corporation, LGUs and Universities. Joey’s consulting work has also covered Coastal, Marine and Aquatic Ecology, Coastal Tourism, Sustainable Harvest, Socio-Economics and Policy.

Karen Gatus is a health, marine science and environmental practitioner who has worked with clients across many different sectors from private companies, government, non-government organizations and people’s organizations.
